DIY Fall Chalkboard Sign

I saw this saying on a fellow blogger's Instagram (@thisbeautifulseason) and it suddenly made me way too aware of our barren, undecorated, completely-not-festive porch. I think we just missed the fall memo this year, being in the midst of a kitchen renovation and life. So when I saw this saying, I was immediately inspired, and being in the middle of renovating, of course we had a ton of cardboard laying around. I grabbed my chalkboard paint and a paintbrush and went to town! The total amount of active time spent on this was easily under fifteen minutes.

You'll need:
Cardboard/plywood/thick paper/whatever you want to paint on
Chalkboard paint
Chalk or a chalk pen

Paint your canvas of choice with the chalkboard paint, let it dry, and return to draw a fun fall saying of your choice. Wah-lah!

I fully intended to go out and get mums and pumpkins and corn stalks to finish the porch today, but I'm naptime bound with a baby and a toddler AND preparing for my littlest's first birthday (by preparing I mean horribly ruining birthday cakes and eating the failures)! Big things!! I hope you enjoy this DIY and feel free to share it with the hashtag #diyhomemadehometown to see what others come up with!
